Draft for review · Prepared by Muneeb Rana · Last updated 26 October 2026
This draft privacy policy describes how Speedometer PRO by Xtra App Studios handles information. It must be reviewed before publishing.
Privacy policy: summary
Speedometer PRO uses your device's location to calculate speed, distance and heading while you use the app. According to the Google Play data safety declaration, the app does not collect or share user data, and data is encrypted.
Location
Location is read from your device's location services to compute speed and trip statistics and to show your position on the map. Trip history is stored on your device.
Advertising
The free version shows ads served by third-party ad networks, which may process device identifiers under their own policies.
Purchases
Premium purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple. We do not receive your payment card details.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Permissions
The app asks for location permission so it can calculate speed. On iPhone and Android you can choose precise or approximate location; approximate location is not enough for a usable speedometer. You can withdraw permission at any time in your device settings, after which speed will no longer update.
Map tiles
The Map tab uses Mapbox. Displaying a map requires downloading map tiles, which involves a request to the map provider's servers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU GDPR give you rights to access, correct and delete personal data held about you. Because trip history is stored on your device, you can delete it by clearing history in the app or uninstalling it.
Changes
We will update this page when the app's data practices change and note the date at the top.
Your choices
You can turn off location access at any time in your phone's settings; the speedometer will then stop working until you allow it again. You can delete trip history inside the app, and uninstalling the app removes data stored on the device. Advertising choices, including personalised ads, can be managed in iOS (Tracking) or Android (Ads) settings. To ask about data we hold, contact us via the contact page.
